About the Event

The Secret Agent Film Trailer HERE

Directed by Kleber Mendonca Filho Stars Wagner Moura (Nominated for an Oscar)

MA15+ 140min Political thriller with comedy.

Another incredible film from Brazil, it has already won actor Wanger Moura (Narcos) a Best Actor gong from the New York Film Critics Circle and many other awards (see below) as well as an Oscar nomination for his performance as Marcelo, a man with a past to hide in a Brazil still under dictatorship.

Amid the raucous revelry of Carnival week, Marcelo arrives in Recife, Brazil in 1977 a city as vibrant as it is violent. Marcelo presents as a technology researcher who suddenly finds himself seemingly an unwitting target for the authorities who are corrupt and open to bribery. He becomes a man on the run from mercenary killers, from ghosts of the past and from Brazil itself

In the midst of all the mounting threats…
