About the Event

On the Wandering Paths is a story of above all else, triumph.  Taken from  Sylvain Tesson’s critically acclaimed novel, it's the 2nd of Tesson’s to be reimagined on the big screen after the amazing The Velvet Queen.

In this one Sylvian is played by Oscar winner Jean Dujardin and we see Tesson at the height of his success.  Handsome and talented, he finds adoration in every aspect of his world from his acclaimed career as a writer along with a fierce passion  for life and love .

After a debilitating near death injury, Sylvain is suddenly forced to hit pause and reassess everything. He longs for independence.

Against the advice of doctors, friends and loved ones  he decides to embark on the greatest hurdle of his life – a solo trek through France still not fully rehabilitated.

Sylvain’s story embodies the journey that is healing – both mental and physical, encouraging audiences to take the path less followed, no matter how treacherous or impossible it may seem and this film is a Festival highlight just as The Velvet Queen was last year.
