When her mother and care giver suddenly dies of an aneurism Sonja's ( impressive debut for Olivia Hargroder) life is thrown into tumult. Her plan to live more independently at home in a granny flat to be built at the back is torched when her grandmother Doris (Penny Downie from The Crown) arrives to administer the estate and announces the house is to be sold and Sonja is to go into a care facility.
